Pop Up Slider Card

I made a DIY Pop Up Slider Birthday Card this week using some new patterned paper. Let me tell you, patterned papers are my jam!! I have boxes full of gorgeous pads of paper that I hardly use *sighs* I had so much fun with this, my first interactive card!

It turned out to be super easy to construct (I watched a few YouTube tutorials) - it looks a bit complicated, especially if you're doing it without the aid of specialty dies, but honestly all you need is a paper trimmer and your trusty craft knife!

I settled for these floral papers from DCWV Love & Grow. I used the Mama Elephant Big Happy Birthday as my main attraction, cut from silver glitter card and added extra sentiments from Birthday Messages and Scripty B'day for the inside and pull up flaps! I also made a matching yellow envelope!

diy notebooks

Full disclosure I'm a hoarder of notebooks, I always find so many darling ones that I must have but in all honestly I never ever use them because they are just too cute!! Surely I'm not alone here?! Having said that, making my own notebooks is now my current obsession!

The ones I'm sharing this week are super simple - just using cardstock, pretty patterned papers, stamps & vignettes along with a handmade paper flower and a feather for extra embellishment, plus ribbon to bind!

I've seen so many gorgeous tutorials on Pinterest that I can't wait to try, I've even sourced some book rings to make thick heavy duty books so watch this space! I think these will be super sweet as little gifts!

Lucky Stars

"I thank my lucky stars for you"

I originally made this as an element for a thank you card but I think it would be super cute as a gift tag or to hang on the wall! I glittered the stars myself and am now finding specks of gold all over the house!!

Christmas Gift Bag

Woah, Christmas decorations are out in stores already so it's totally cool to start my Christmas prep, right??

I made this cute little gift bag using the Ready, Set, Snow stamp and die set by Lawn Fawn, some kraft card and an old Thomas Sabo charm bag!

I just love these little snowmen so much and will definitely be making a few more of these bags for Christmas!!

It's a Wrap!

Here are my goodies for this weeks "It's a Wrap" Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

One of my most favourite things is to make my own wrapping paper and packaging, it's so nice to add that extra touch to a gift!

First up a Pillow Box! After going on a bit of a DIY binge a few years ago I have so many of these little flowers (thank you pinterest!) - they're the perfect size to jazz up some boring old cardstock found in a pack of stockings hahah, I save the weirdest stuff for crafting let me tell you!!

Candy Box #1 - I used Lawn Fawn Spring Sprig to liven up some plain blue cardstock. The blue and white flowers make me think of Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs ha!

Candy Box #2 - I used Sizzix dies to create the flower for an extra added touch on top of this gorgeous red and pink floral paper!

I seriously adored this weeks challenge!!! I have a couple more packaging projects to share but I'll have to do another post!!
