It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Who's in the mood for a snowy Christmas scene?? I SURE AM! I know it's a tad early for Christmas crafting (it's actually not that far away?!) but I love playing around with my stamps and figuring out what kind of cards and crafts I want to create for the upcoming Holidays!

I made this card using Lawn Fawn Ready, Set, Snow stamps and dies, LF Stitched Rectangle and Stitched Hillside Borders. I also ink blended the background with Picked Raspberries Distress Oxide, spritzed with some water and later white heat embossed some snow and snowflakes!

What do you think of the non-traditional pink themed Christmas card? Yay or nay?

tulle shaker card

I adore shaker cards and recently spotted a gorgeous one on Pinterest that uses tulle and thought it was such a new and clever way to make a shaker! Tulle is so lush and soft and I know mum always has some on hand, so I raided her stash and went to work hehe!

I first started by gold heat embossing a Mama Elephant Scripty Birthday sentiment onto some purple card. I then picked out some gold foiled patterned card and cut out a window using a Lawn Fawn Circle die, to which I glued a piece of tulle behind. On the outside of the window I added a Kaisercraft Posy Circle die cut from some purple glitter card.

I then threw in a bunch of random sequins, beads and shimmery bits of paper cut with a circle hole punch, heart punch and some flower dies and sandwiched the tulle-windowed card and purple card together.

I love how this card turned out and I think tulle is now my new go-to when making shaker cards!!

big happy birthday

I made a bunch of cards this week for some upcoming Birthdays featuring the Mama Elephant Big Happy Birthday die - these were super quick and easy, also using the Little Cat Agenda stamps from Mama Elephant coloured in with pencils and gel pens, LF Stitched Scalloped Rectangle die plus some patterned and glitter card! I cut the Birthday die multiple times and stacked four for each, just for some extra dimension! I've uploaded the others to Flickr which you can find here!

diy notebooks

Full disclosure I'm a hoarder of notebooks, I always find so many darling ones that I must have but in all honestly I never ever use them because they are just too cute!! Surely I'm not alone here?! Having said that, making my own notebooks is now my current obsession!

The ones I'm sharing this week are super simple - just using cardstock, pretty patterned papers, stamps & vignettes along with a handmade paper flower and a feather for extra embellishment, plus ribbon to bind!

I've seen so many gorgeous tutorials on Pinterest that I can't wait to try, I've even sourced some book rings to make thick heavy duty books so watch this space! I think these will be super sweet as little gifts!

...I am currently obsessed with making my own notebooks!!  For this one I used cardstock and a sentiment from DCWV and added twine on the spine to bind it all together! I made a bunch this week and I'll share in another post!

...last week I made these insanely delicious Cinnamon Rolls, super buttery and soft and slathered with cream cheese frosting, they're a new fave!! Earlier this month I also made this Sticky Date Pudding and it was *omg* incredible, I'm drooling just thinking about it!!

...I really enjoyed Girl Made of Stars by Ashley Herring Blake, an important read and very well written.

...all I've been bingeing lately are K Dramas lol (sorry not sorry) my faves from July: You Are My Destiny, My First First Love S2, Beautiful Gong Shim & Radio Romance!

Have you baked anything delicious lately? xx

butterfly bookmark

I love collecting bookmarks and I also really enjoy creating them, I always have scraps of card that I get great use out of when making these! I made this super quick bookmark using a scrap strip of card, a bunch of butterfly stamps, colouring pencils, gel pens and a piece washi tape! The stamps were given to me preloved and without the original packaging so I'm not sure what brand they are.

Did somebody say cake?

Another super quick card that I made using this sweet sweet cake saved from a gift box! I again created the background by splattering pink and purple watercolour paint with a paintbrush! I found some pink and white striped cardstock that matched the cake perfectly and also stamped and embossed some cute cake sentiments from Mama Elephant Birthday Messages!
