2021 Christmas Cards

I'm taking part in the Pinkfresh Studio December 2021 Challenge - this month's prompt is HOLIDAYS so I'm sharing my 2021 Christmas Cards!

My cards for this year feature the adorable Pinkfresh Studio Tree Trimming Friends Stamp Set!

I started by die cutting the Pinkfresh Studio Braided Tag from some white card and onto these I stamped the Trees with Pinkfresh Studio Soft Lilac ink. I then stamped the detailed layer of the trees with Versamark Watermark ink and heat embossed with WOW Shrinking Violet embossing glitter for some extra sparkle. The bears were stamped with Pinkfresh Studio Warm Buff ink and coloured with Flesh Colour Zig Real Brush Marker. The gifts, star and sentiment were stamped using Pinkfresh Studio Sky Blue, Altenew Pinkalicious & Sunray inks and Brutus Monroe Gilded embossing powder.

I foam mounted the braided tag onto various Holiday patterned cardstock and added the bears and little extras to fill out my scene! I really enjoyed creating these cards and I love how this whimsical little scene turned out!

Bonjour Full Shaker

Today I'm participating in the fun October Challenge over at Waffle Flower - this month the theme is Shaker Cards so here I am sharing another edge to edge shaker using the darling Waffle Flower Bonjour stamp set! (This was the first Waffle Flower stamp set I ever bought and it's such a fave!)

For my card I wanted a purple night time sky so I stamped and then masked my images and ink blended my background with Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxides. I coloured my images with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers.

To create a flat shaker I wrapped some clear packaging around my panel and adhered three sides closed, leaving one side open to fill with shaker bits - which include purple and silver sequins, stars and confetti. Once filled and sealed I adhered this whole panel to a card base and voila! SO EASY!!

I looove these full shakers and really enjoyed creating this little French scene - Oh how I'm dreaming of being in Paris again!

Slimline Flat Shaker

Sharing a Flat Slimline Shaker that I made this week. I was inspired by Amy R over at Prairie Paper & Ink - she has been on a roll with these shakers lately and I thought they'd be so fun to try!

Flat shakers are so fabulous and ridiculously easy to make - this took me no time at all because I decided to use gold glittered patterned cardstock as my base. I wrapped some packaging around this and adhered three sides, leaving one open to fill with my shaker bits - which include gold sequins, black star confetti and little bits of vellum and glitter card.
Once filled I I closed the last flap and adhered the whole panel to a black slimline card. To decorate the outside of the shaker I used the Pinkfresh Studio Heather Lowercase dies to cut "eighteen" (twice in black and once in gold) and stacked them onto the front!

And voila, done! SUPER EASY right?? I am obsessed with these edge to edge shakers and have so many ideas I want to try out!

World Card Making Day!!

Hope you had a fab World Card Making Day!! To celebrate I am sharing this 65th Birthday card that I made for my Mum!

I started by die cutting the the two largest dies from the Pinkfresh Studio Inverted Stitched Scallop Circles three times from white card and once from cream shimmer cardstock, I stacked and adhered these together on top of a circle of vellum. The "65" was die cut using Pinkfresh Studio Heather Lowercase - I adhered this to the middle of the vellum circle and added to my patterned card base. I stamped and die cut some Pinkfresh Studio Lovely Blossoms as well as used floral ephemera from Pinkfresh Studio Days of Splendor and added them around the edge of the circle. To finish, I added some little pearls!

Inks used on the florals: Pinkfresh Studio Sky BlueSummer Shower, Lavender

Fancy Floral Shaker

Sharing this fun shaker card that I made for the Pinkfresh Studio May 2021 Anything Goes Challenge (and for a friends Birthday!) For my window I used the Pinkfresh Studio Fancy Floral 2 die, cut from white shimmer cardstock glued onto some acetate.

The sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio Happy Birthday Sentiments and heat embossed with WOW Vintage Peacock glitter powder then cut with its coordinating die and adhered onto a strip of vellum layered on top of the card. I filled my window with gorgeous teal sequins and added some pale green cardstock with foam tape to sandwich it all in!

Super happy with how this card turned out - I'm a sucker for shaker cards and am obsessed with this floral die!

Celebrate!

Today I'm sharing my card for the Pinkfresh Studio March 2021 Challenge - this month the challenge is all about flowers! I absolutely adore Pinkfresh Studio and this year I am so determined to grow my Pinkfresh stash (slowly getting there) !!!!

For my card, I die cut three Pinkfresh Leafy Envelopes and adhered them together for a bit of dimension. I stamped and die cut a bunch of Pinkfresh Lovely Blossoms and tucked them all over the envelope. For the background I scored some yellow paper at every quarter inch to add some texture and adhered the envelope on top, leaving the leafy bits un-glued so they curl up and add more interest.

The "Celebrate" is from Happy Birthday Sentiments and was heat embossed with Ranger Rose Gold powder and die cut with its coordinating die.

Inks used:
Blue florals - Pinkfresh Studio Sky Blue & Summer Shower
Purple flowers - Pinkfresh Studio Lavender
Pink flowers - Altenew Pinkalicious
Yellow flowers - Altenew Chamomile Marigold
Green leaves - Lawn Fawn Cilantro & Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide

Love love love how this card turned out and I'll definitely be making more of these with different colour combos!

See Through Shaker Bookmark

Sharing this super cute See Through Bookmark that I made this week! I was inspired by Mona Toth, who has super easy to follow step by step instructions - check it out here. When I saw her adorable creation I knew I wanted to try this too!

I don't own frame dies so I created my own by layering the LF Stitched Rectangles with Outside In Stitched Scalloped Rectangles and it worked out perfectly!

The shaker is created as you usually would but with acetate on both sides for the see through effect. I have a lot of green sequins that never get used so I decided that this would be my colour scheme lol!

Other Supplies Used:
Lawn Fawn Meow You Doin'?
Lawn Fawn Birthday Tags (for the Banner)
Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders

Sweet 16

I'm taking part in the Pinkfresh Studio February 2021 Challenge - this month's prompt is Alphas/Words. This was really perfect timing as I have an upcoming 16th Birthday and decided to focus on the word "Sweet"! I initially struggled with this card, I knew that I wanted to use lots of quirky patterned papers but I was so undecided about the layout and colours!

I started by die cutting the Pinkfresh Studio Braided Tag from this cute paper and layered it on top of some purple card. The 'Sweet" and "16" were die cut using Pinkfresh Studio Heather Lowercase

To make the "16" pop a bit more, I decided to cut a circle out of vellum and then dipped the edges into some Versamark Watermark ink and added some Shrinking Violet WOW embossing glitter. To add a bit more interest, I stamped and die cut some Pinkfresh Studio Lovely Blossoms as well as floral ephemera from Pinkfresh Studio Days of Splendor and added them to the bottom of the tag.

The bow was made with the We R Memory Keepers 123 Punch Board.

This challenge really pulled me out of my creative slump and I'm happy with how it all came together in the end!

How de we feel about the quirky mish mash of patterned papers and colours? I'm kinda digging it!

Braided Tag Card

Sharing my card for the Pinkfresh Studio January 2021 Challenge - I was inspired by August 2020 Florals! I had a play with some of my Christmas goodies this week and made this floral birthday card! I decided to stamp and die cut some Pinkfresh Studio Lovely Blossoms as well as some floral ephemera from Pinkfresh Studio Days of Splendor.

I die cut the Pinkfresh Studio Braided Tag from some white textured card and stamped 'happy' from Lawn Fawn Meow You Doin'. The 'birthday' die is from MFT Birthday Wishes and I cut this three times from white card and once from blue metallic paper and layered them together for some dimension. The bow was made with the We R Memory Keepers 123 Punch Board.

Inks used:
Blue florals & 'happy' - Pinkfresh Studio Sky Blue & Summer Shower
Pink florals - Altenew Pink Diamond
Green leaves - Lawn Fawn Cilantro & Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide

I love how this card turned out and I will definitely be recreating with different colour combos!

Stencilled Slimline Card

Sharing a slimline card that I made for an upcoming card swap - full disclosure, this is the first ever slimline card that I've made *and* the first time I've used layering stencils!! And I am HOOKED!!!

I used the gorgeous Pinkfresh Studio You Are My Favourite Stencil which features some beautiful blooms and foliage. Onto some vellum strips I heat embossed 'Hello Friend' from Mama Elephant Paola's Wishes with Ranger Rose Gold Powder. I wrapped the strip around the card front and finally added some glittery Poppy Stamps Stitched Butterflies as an extra embellishment.

Inks used:
Pink flowers - Altenew Pinkalicious Rubelite
Purple flowers - Pinkfresh Studio Lavender & Regal Kiss
Orange flowers - Altenew Chamomile & Marigold
Blue leaves - Pinkfresh Studio Sky Blue

I love how my first ever slimline turned out, even if it is a little simple -  I'm looking forward to having more fun with these stencils!

To create the window in my patterned paper I used a Lawn Fawn Circle die and sandwiched some tulle with foam to the back. The cupcake liner was stamped with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide and the bunting is from Waffle Flower Tea Party.

2020 Christmas Cards

Sharing my Christmas cards for 2020, feat. Mama Elephant Oh Kitty Tree! I started by masking off little hills for the kitties to sit on and then went about creating pink shimmery snowy backgrounds by ink blending Altenew Pinkalicious & Rubelite Inks and then splattering with Pinkfresh Studio Candy Violet Ink and White Gouache and finally adding some Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz

The images and sentiment were stamped in Versafine Onyx Black Ink and coloured with pencils! I foam mounted the kitties onto the backgrounds and added some Wink of Stella Glitter Gloss Pen to the little ornaments and Santa hats!

I'm so happy with how these turned out - I do love non traditional colours for Christmas!!

Tulle Shaker Cards

I've been having a play with this beauty of a die, the Pinkfresh Studio Fancy Floral 2 and I created a bunch of shaker cards! These feature a tulle window instead of your usual acetate - something I saw Jennifer McGuire do once and I knew I had to try it!

For these, I cut the Fancy Floral die out of some glitter cardstock and glued the tulle to the back. On vellum I heat embossed some Birthday sentiments from Mama Elephant Paola's Wishes with
WOW embossing powder in Black Glint

To create my shaker bits I cut various glitter and metallic scraps of cardstock with a hole punch and also added some sequins from my stash.

These were so fun to create and I have so much tulle in my stash I'll definitely be making more of these! I made a few of these with acetate as well which I'll upload to my Flickr

I cut the die three times from blue cardstock and once from glitter card and stacked all together for dimension, stamped and coloured the kitty with some pencils and gel pens and mounted  onto some fun blue chevron paper!

Happy Easter

I have one last Easter card for you (I made a bunch okay!) - for this one I used the leftover stitched oval from my shaker card and created a little Easter scene using the Basket of Blossoms dies from Issue #34 of Die-Cutting Essentials.

For the background panel I ink blended Shaded Lilac and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxides, stamped "Happy" from LF Meow You Doin' in Picked Raspberries and die cut "Easter" with Impression Obsessions Easter Greetings word die. Then I adhered the oval scene using foam tape for some dimension.

This was super quick and I'm happy with how it turned out!

Easter Shaker

Sharing another Easter card today - this time, a shaker! I adore creating shaker cards and this turned out to be so fun!

This gorgeous floral yellow card was a piece leftover from a previous craft session and it was the perfect size for the kind of shaker I had in mind. After rounding the corners of the card I cut a window to the left using a Scrap Dragon Stitched Oval die (I saved the oval itself and created another card which I'll share soon!)

Next I cut the bunny and greenery using the Basket of Blossoms dies from Issue #34 of Die-Cutting Essentials and adhered between the oval window and the acetate. I adhered the Easter Greetings sentiment cut from purple card using Impression Obsession word die

I ink blended the panel behind the window with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide and then added my shaker bits - a mix of sequins, beads, shimmer paper and cute bunny scatters and then sandwiched it all together with foam tape.
